Ongoing Marketing

You run the business. I'll run the marketing.

You didn't start a business to spend your evenings writing posts and wondering if any of it works. Every month I write your content and run your marketing: blog posts, social posts, emails, reviews and your Google profile, plus one improvement to how customers find and choose you. There's no contract, so I have to earn my keep every month.

The problem

The owner-does-everything trap

01

Marketing only happens when you've got time

Which is never. So it comes in bursts: a flurry of posts, then nothing for two months. And the quiet spells land when you're busiest, which is exactly when you should be lining up the next lot of work.

02

Hiring someone feels like a big step

A marketing manager is a full salary, and they still need someone to tell them what to do. An agency usually means a long contract and a monthly report you don't read. This sits in between: one person who knows your business, on a rolling month.

03

What you've already got is going stale

The website, the Google profile, the review requests. They got set up once, and nobody's touched them since. They only keep working if someone keeps looking after them.

Not sure this is your actual problem? The free review will tell you, even if the answer is "you don't need me".

Who it's for

Is this for you? No worries if not.

I'd rather point you at the right thing than sell you the wrong one.

Yes, if any of these sound like you

  • The basics are in place, but nobody has time to keep them going
  • Your marketing goes quiet every time work gets busy
  • You'd rather deal with one person than three freelancers

Probably not, if

Not sure either way? Let's have a quick chat and I'll tell you straight.

What you get

What 'I'll run the marketing'
actually covers.

A plan for every month

Each month has a job to do, tied to what you want more of. You always know what I'm working on and why.

Content, written and posted

Blog posts, social posts and emails, written in your voice and posted on time.

Reviews and your Google profile

Asking for reviews, replying to them, and keeping your Google profile active, so you keep showing up when people search.

One improvement every month

Every month I fix one thing in your Perfect Customer Journey, the path people take from finding you to coming back. Over a year, that's twelve things better than they were.

Someone to ask

Thinking about a price change, a new service or a van wrap? Ask me. You get someone to think it through with, not just a pair of hands.

One person responsible

No juggling a web person, a social person and an SEO person who've never spoken to each other. It's all me, so nothing gets missed.

What it costs

Most businesses land somewhere between £395 and £2,995 + VAT a month. It depends on how much you need doing and the size of your business. You get a fixed monthly price before anything starts. It's rolling, and I just ask for 30 days' notice if you want to stop.

Not sure what you need? Your Marketing Plan maps it out for £495 + VAT, and that comes off any build.

How it works

How it works, month by month.

1

Start with where you are

I look at what you've already got and where you want to get to, so the work has a direction from day one.

2

Work goes out every month

Content posted, reviews asked for, your profile kept active and one thing improved. You see it as it happens, not in a report three months later.

3

Keep what works

I do more of what brings in enquiries and drop what doesn't. Your money goes where the work comes from.

4

Stay because it works

No contract. If it stops being worth it, you can stop. That keeps me on my toes.

Fair questions

The fine print, out loud.

Why no contract?

Because lock-in makes people lazy, me included. If I'm not worth it, you should be able to stop, and everything I made for you stays yours. I just ask for 30 days' notice.

How is this different from the SEO service?

SEO & Google Profile is one job: getting found locally. Ongoing Marketing includes your Google profile, plus content, emails, reviews and an improvement every month. If getting found is your only problem, the SEO service costs less and I'll tell you so.

Do I need this after a website build?

No. My websites don't need looking after to keep working, that's the whole point of how I build them. Ongoing Marketing is for growing, not keeping the lights on.

How do I know it's working?

By the things that pay the bills: calls, enquiries and bookings. If they're not moving, I change what I'm doing. I'll tell you how it's going in plain English, and you'll never need to decipher a dashboard.

Can I stop for a bit?

Yes. Give me 30 days' notice and it stops. Your website, your list and your accounts are all yours, and they keep working. If you want to start again later, you can.
