The job
Lancashire Fabrications is a steel fabrication and installation firm in Burscough. They do steel stockholding, CNC profiling and pressing, fabrication, onsite welding and installation, for both residential and commercial projects.
Their old site was on WordPress, and it didn’t do a good job of explaining how much they cover. Their customers are builders and project managers who need to know quickly whether a supplier can handle the job, and then get a price.
What I did
- A brand new site, from scratch. Not a copy of the old one, a proper rethink of what the site needed to do.
- A page for every service. All five, so someone looking for CNC profiling finds a page that’s all about CNC profiling.
- Made the quote the main job. “Get a Quote” is in the header of every page, with the phone number next to it.
- Let customers send their drawings. The quote form takes a PDF, so people can send their drawings or specs in one go instead of emailing them separately.
- Designed to feel like steel. Dark, solid and confident, because that’s what the work is.
Where it’s at now
The site’s live at lancashire-fabrications.co.uk, and it explains everything they do in one place.
