The job
Matrix FSE is an electrical, fire and security contractor in Skelmersdale, working across the North West since 2011. They do domestic, commercial and industrial work.
Their old WordPress site was out of date and broken in places. And like a lot of firms that do more than one thing, it read like three different companies, so someone who came for a rewire never found out Matrix could do their alarms and CCTV too.
What I did
- Made it one company. Electrical, fire and security shown together, as one team that covers the lot.
- Showed the real work. A gallery of nine real jobs, from kitchen electrics to CCTV on a farm, that people can sort by type.
- Made it easy to get in touch. A quote form and a phone number on every page, and on a phone, Call and Get a Quote buttons that stay on screen.
- Let them update it themselves. A simple editor for blog posts and projects, so adding a new job doesn’t mean ringing me.
- Protected the forms. Enquiries go through spam checks before they land, so what comes in is real.
Where it’s at now
The new site’s live at matrixfse.com, with a page for each trade and a growing gallery of their work.
